Last Updated: October 7, 2013
Class: Freshman
Hometown: Aurora, Colorado
Amount Needed: $500

Rebecca is an entering freshman. She has an interest in Communications with more of an emphasis on Writing. Her father lost his job at IBM several years ago and had to take a lower paying job to provide for his family. Saving for college had to be put on the back burner while the family sorted out how to pay for everyday expenses. Her parents plan to take out loans to help Rebecca with her expenses but she will still need financial assistance. “My first experience with FC was when I was 3 years old. My mother took me to a choral performance and she explained to me that the chorus was from her alma mater, FC, and that it was a Christian School. I was captivated by the songs and the performance and as I left that night, I turned to my mom and said, “I want to go there.” My resolve to go to FC was only strengthened through the years having gone to FC Camp in Texas. I was 8 years old when I first started attending camp and I fell in love instantly. I loved being surrounded by so many Christians. As I grew older, I not only wanted to go to FC because of its stellar chorus but also because I knew that it would provide a great Christian atmosphere and well-rounded education without me having to compromise my beliefs. “
