The Bachelor of Science in nursing program is scheduled to begin at Florida College in the fall semester Fall of 2021, pending approval by the Florida Board of Nursing. Florida College will seek regional accreditation of the program pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Florida College is also pursuing initial accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Applying for accreditation does not guarantee that accreditation will be granted.
Aims of Nursing
The mission of the nursing program is to educate nurse generalists to optimize the health and wellness of diverse communities. The faculty are committed to developing reflective, caring students who demonstrate professional behavior and commitment to lifelong learning. Students will be challenged to become responsible decision-makers providing Christian leadership as professional nurses accountable for their actions.
