Chorus

For more than 70 years, the chorus has been the voice of Florida College; always dedicated to excellence. The Florida College Chorus performs a wide variety of both sacred and secular literature. Each spring the ensemble conducts a week-long tour to different parts of the country, performing in such cities as Indianapolis, Kansas City and Chicago. Sacred songs are then recorded and released on CD.

Chamber Singers

The Chamber Singers is a select group comprised of mostly vocal majors but also includes students from all disciplines with high vocal and sight reading skills. Their repertoire spans the history of music, from Renaissance Madrigals to Vocal Jazz and everything in between. Besides the Madrigal Dinners and concerts, the group periodically presents concert versions of musicals.

String Ensemble

The Florida College String Ensemble is an opportunity for string player to get together and make music. The ensemble performs two concerts each year, as well as playing in the pit orchestra of the musical, with the chorus on tour, and in social functions around the school and community.

Jazz Ensemble

The Florida College Jazz Ensemble performs many musical styles including swing, Latin, rock and others. In addition to regular semester concerts, our performances include select Falcon Days concerts for prospective students and parents, the annual Jazz Holiday event in December, the Lectureship concert and the Coffee vs. Curfew event in April.

Wind Ensemble

The Florida College Wind Ensemble performs some of the best literature written for the medium, most of it written for and recorded by professional and collegiate ensembles. Whether you were a member of an all-state or honor band or just loved making music with your friends in high school, there is a role for you to play in this ensemble.
