Pre-Professional Health Sciences
Mr. Chandler, Program Coordinator
Students preparing for a health professional program that requires significant study in biology (e.g. medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, or veterinary) should choose the Liberal Studies major and customize an interdisciplinary program of study within that major. Courses in Pre-Professional Health Sciences constitute an appropriate component in the student’s Liberal Studies program.
Students entering programs that do not require as much advanced biology (chiropractic, DPTs, OT, etc.) may choose any major. The BA in Liberal Studies is still a viable choice, but students may also wish to consider other majors. The student should work with the Program Coordinator of the Pre-Professional Health Sciences track and with the Chair of the major program as s/he selects courses.
