IT Specialist

Florida College seeks a full-time IT Specialist in the Information Technology Department starting Spring 2022.

Florida College is a private, independent liberal arts college, providing a comprehensive college experience designed to develop students spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially by integrating into the students’ lives the Bible as the revealed will of God in order to prepare students for lives of service to their Creator and to humanity.

All qualified applicants for this position must be Christians and be active, faithful members of a church of Christ and willing to support the Christian mission and purpose of the college.

The IT Specialist would focus on data analysis and support of audio/visual needs which includes the following responsibilities: communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements, organizing and transforming information into comprehensible structures, performing statistical analysis of data, using tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs, preparing reports and presenting these to stakeholders, monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data, maintain Audio-Visual equipment, primary responsibility for any support tickets related to Audio-Visual needs, secondary responsibility to respond to other IT support tickets, direct student workers assigned to AV team. Experience with website maintenance is a plus. This is a 12-month staff position.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in computer science or data analytics, have excellent communication skills, work well in a team environment, demonstrate creativity and innovation, have experience with Microsoft and Apple products, and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
