Computer Science Professor
Florida College is seeking a Full-Time, Tenure-Track Professor of Computer Science

Florida College is seeking a qualified individual to teach Computer Science and to develop a Computer Science bachelor’s degree program at the college. Candidates will be responsible for leading the development of a Computer Science program proposal during the fall 2021 semester. This proposal will be advanced through faculty and administrative review, with development of course syllabi for the curriculum in the spring semester. Once the program is launched in Fall 2022, the position would require teaching computer programming courses, with additional teaching assignments based on background and knowledge. We are seeking candidates who have a passion for student engagement and advancing the mission of the college.
This is a full-time, 9-month position. Faculty rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with academic qualifications and teaching experience. A master’s degree in computer science or related field (e.g., CIS, IS, Computer Engineering) is required. This position ideally begins August 2021, but the start date this fall is flexible.
