Communication Professor

Florida College is a private, independent liberal arts college, providing a comprehensive college experience designed to develop students spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially; to integrate into the students’ lives the Bible as the revealed will of God; and to prepare students for lives of service to their Creator and to humanity. The Department of Communication is nationally known for its teaching excellence and is committed to the college’s mission and relevancy in the 21st century. To facilitate continued envisioning and growth, including development of a digital media lab, the Department is seeking a visionary faculty member, with specialization in Mass Media. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Communication. Individuals with appropriate master’s degrees, with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline, or who are working on these qualifications, will be considered. This is a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position and begins August 1, 2021. The successful candidate is expected to become an exceptional teacher who values mentoring and advising students. The faculty member will engage in service and scholarly activity with interest in continued growth and enhancement of the department’s participation in Florida College’s academic programs.
