Alumni Relations Director

Florida College is seeking individuals to help educate the whole person to imitate Christ in service to God and the world. All employees are essential to accomplish this mission and serve to transform lives. The Alumni Relations Director is an administrative position that oversees the college’s efforts to connect with alumni, communicate with constituents and cultivate valuable relationships for the college.

Qualifications & Required Experience

  • Alumnus of Florida College is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communication or related fields is required, master’s is preferred
  • 5-7 years of related supervisory or management experience
  • Proven ability to manage budgets.
  • 3-5 years of event management experience preferred
  • Professional and proactive work ethic
  • Demonstrated competency in taking initiative, working independently and participating as part of a team
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and management skills
  • Competence in project and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated excellence and/or leadership in volunteer work. Candidates with service to Florida College, The Hutchinson Bell and associated camps will be given preference
  • Qualified candidate must demonstrate a dedication to God’s word and have high spiritual and moral values
  • Qualified candidates for this position must be professing Christians and be faithful, active members of a congregation of the churches of Christ and willing to support the Christian mission and purposes of the college

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Florida College faculty, staff and administration to contribute to the Florida College mission
  • Serve as president of The Hutchinson Bell, the national organization for alumni and friends
  • Establish, coordinate and support local chapters including events and camps
  • Coordinate and build participation in class reunions
  • Oversee the Volunteer Leadership Summit each year
  • Design and implement strategies to grow relationships with present and future alumni and friends
  • Seek out and recognize outstanding alumni and friends of the college
  • Work closely with the development and admissions offices to advise on fundraising and recruitment
  • Ability and willingness to travel on behalf of the college for events
