The Florida College Communication Department is pleased to announce that it is now offering a Communication degree with a Specialization in Mass Media (BA).

Beginning in August 2021, mass media classes will be offered to new and current students. Students will be required to complete 18 hours (six classes) of the following upper-level courses:
- Rhetorical Approaches to Media
- Audio Production
- Video Production
- Advanced Video Production
- Radio and TV Production
- Social Media for Professionals
- Writing and Editing for Media
- History and Literacy of cinema
- Mass Communication and Society
Additionally, students will be required to complete an internship in the field.
“Creatives don’t often get to work with like-minded people, much less those of similar faith. This program is specifically designed to allow each unique student to create content that is entirely their own while being surrounded by teachers and classmates who share their values. Mass media has impacted every aspect of the professional world today, and I look forward to watching our students impact the world of mass media,” said Zac McCray, Professor of Communication.
