“From Gothic Light to Starlit Night” Travel Abroad Tour

The Florida College Travel Abroad tour: May 5–18, 2020Travel abroad with Florida College “From Gothic Light to Starlit Night” on the 2020 tour led by Dr. Mark Bingham.

This customized itinerary explores the art in Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Versailles and more! This will be the first time Florida College tours have visited Belgium and the Netherlands. With at least three overnight stays in each city, travelers will have optimal time to view all the sites.

Explore church architecture from the Carolingian, Romanesque and Gothic periods including Charlemagne’s own palace chapel in Aachen, Germany constructed in 800 AD. Visit the Louvre in Paris, as well as the Musée d’Orsay (collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings), museums in Amsterdam and The Hague which features rich collections of Dutch and Flemish Old Masters, including Rembrandt and Rebens, Vermeer and Van Dyck.

While in Bruges and Amsterdam, travelers embark on canal cruises. In Ghent and Antwerp, the tour will visit cathedrals that are home to masterpieces by Van Eyck and Rubens. Stops in Amsterdam include the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House.

This study tour is ideal for individuals interested in art, architecture, history and beautiful scenery all while exploring these sites with Christians.
