Fine Arts

At Florida College, students with a desire to act, sing, or perform experience an enormous variety of opportunities. Veteran performers and aspiring amateurs have an equal shot. If you’ve got talent, ambition, or just a lot of heart—you’ll find a stage to sing or shout it out.

  • The Wind Ensemble performs collegiate and professional concert band music on campus and during the annual Spring Tour.  This group also pumps up the Conn Gymnasium crowds as the Pep Band at home basketball games.
  • The String Ensemble performs music for small ensembles and joins with wind players and guest string players to perform pieces written for full orchestra.
  • The Jazz Ensemble performs various musical styles (swing, Latin, rock, etc.) and tours with the Wind Ensemble.
  • The Chorus performs on campus throughout the year, and takes an annual tour every spring.
  • There are exciting Theater productions every semester, including the popular spring musical, fall play, and the occasional murder mystery. FC draws audiences from across the state.
  • “Florida College students enjoy a variety of student, faculty and guest artist recitals, concerts by college ensembles, and student theatrical productions throughout the year. The Florida College Life Enrichment Series presents lectures, forums, seminars, and musical performances to the college family and the community.
  • The Florida College Friends are the premiere popular music group on campus, performing locally and around the country on an annual tour.
