Liberal Studies Application
Students must complete the academic requirements for the Associate of Arts degree at Florida College or equivalent course work in order to be eligible for admission to the Liberal Studies program. Students completing work elsewhere must submit transcripts of all college course work to the registrar for evaluation in order to be considered for admission.
Any student who is currently enrolled with junior standing and the appropriate prerequisites may take courses in the Liberal Studies program as a non-degree seeking student. However, non-degree seeking students cannot take more than 15 hours that will be applied to a degree program at a later time.
Students who are currently enrolled at Florida College and fulfilling all admission requirements may apply for degree seeking status by filling out an application to the Liberal Studies program. Returning former students who are applying to the program must provide transcripts of all additional college work.
Students who have never enrolled at Florida College must apply to the college through the usual application process (including application fees) in addition to applying to the Liberal Studies program.
Some students who fall short of the admission requirements may be admitted provisionally if they can submit a plan for meeting the admission requirements concurrent with their course work in the Liberal Studies program.
