A Lasting Legacy: Brooke Bronger
Brooke Bronger · Brownsburg, Indiana · Junior
When it comes to campus life, Brooke Bronger likes to be right in the middle of the action. Her involvement with society sports is fuel for her dream of becoming a sports manager. Last year, Brooke served as the female athletic director for Kappa Omicron.
“It was super fun and I got the experience I thought I needed to be in sports management,” Brooke said. “It made me realize that this is what I want to do.”
Society sports give Brooke an opportunity to prepare for her future career, build relationships with fellow athletes and have fun in a Christian environment.
“It has been so great to make those relationships and do the things that you enjoy with the people you care about,” Brooke said.
As a Lady Falcon, Brooke has also built meaningful relationships with her teammates on the basketball court. She has played for the women’s basketball team all three years at Florida College, and this year, she had the opportunity to lead the team as a captain.
“It was such a good experience being able to be a captain and take on that responsibility,” Brooke said. “It was an honor.”
Brooke has also had the opportunity to practice her leadership skills as a coach of the 7th and 8th grade girls basketball team at Florida College Academy. She has been coaching the team for three years and has loved getting to know her players and building relationships with them. In addition to teaching them about basketball, Brooke hopes to be a positive example in their lives.
“It’s so awesome because I always had someone I looked up to at that age, so I hope I can be that example to them,” Brooke said.
This year, Brooke was selected as a Camp Friend and will have the opportunity to influence Florida College campers for good, just like she influences her basketball players. She is looking forward to traveling the country with her Camp Friends group and meeting new people at each camp.
“I am so excited to be able to influence campers and hopefully encourage them to come to Florida College,” Brooke said. “It has been such a fun experience for me, and I want everyone else to get to experience it too.”
Brooke is excited to share her love of Florida College with campers across the country this summer. She has loved every part of her Florida College experience and is thankful to the people who made it possible.
“I am so grateful for the people who have been my Adopt parents,” Brooke said. “To see their love for me and also for Florida College has been so great, and it has made me want to hopefully be an Adopt parent one day.”
