Instrumental EnsemblesThe Florida College instrumental ensembles—directed by Mr. Brian Rainwater—provide music in a rich variety of styles. No matter what you play, we have a group for you.
If you loved band in high school, you’ll really love the Jazz Ensemble. This special group sets a different beat in campus performances for the Florida College community. They also have special performances for prospective students visiting the campus during Junior Days each spring and Senior Days each fall. The eclectic mix of classic jazz and pumped-up rhythms gets the crowd tapping their feet.
The String Ensemble performs classical music in several concerts a year. The Wind Ensemble performs a range of popular and classical music in campus concerts each semester and the Pep Band lifts the spirit of Florida College Falcons and fans at home basketball games each semester. The Jazz and Wind Ensembles entertain a packed house of campus visitors during the annual Lecture Week and both groups take their shows on the road for four days each spring. They are able to entertain Christians from all over the country and spend time talking about Florida College. Student instrumentalists at Florida College can explore each of these styles of music and experience rewards that extend well beyond the music. |
