2006-2007 Mr. and Miss Florida College

On April 25, 2007 the student body awarded its highest honor to two of our Florida College students who embody the spirit of FC: Jenny Diestelkamp and Caleb Churchill.

Chosen from among the entire sophomore class and including 12 other finalists, these two were enthusiastically endorsed by thunderous sustained applause as their names were announced. It was obvious the student body, administration, and faculty, all admire and love these two young honorees.

Mr. and Miss FC are chosen for their representation of the core values of Florida College: spirituality, service, and dedication to academics. They excel in all the areas listed on our Florida College Seal: Social, Mental, Physical and Spiritual. They are the finest accomplishment of the goals and purposes of Florida College.

In the award presentation, President Caldwell read excerpts of statements that the other candidates offered about Caleb and Jenny. Repeatedly heard were these words and phrases: service, sacrifice, compassion, humility, care for others, and dedication to Christ.

We are so happy to present these two young people to you as the best that Florida College has to offer – the summation of what we work to achieve for every student who comes here.
