Admissions Procedures

Admissions Requirements:

Students must have completed the academic requirements for the AA degree at Florida College or equivalent course work in order to be eligible for admissions to the Liberal Studies program. Students completing work elsewhere must submit transcripts of all college course work to the registrar for evaluation in order or be considered for admissions.

Admissions Procedures:

  1. Any currently enrolled student with junior standing and appropriate prerequisites may take courses in the Liberal Studies Program as a non-degree seeking student. However, only 15 hours may be taken as a non-degree seeking student and then applied to a degree program at a later time.
  2. Students currently enrolled at Florida College and fulfilling all admission requirements may apply for degree seeking status by filling out the application to the Liberal Studies Program. Former returning students applying to the program must also provide transcripts of all additional college work..
  3. Students never before enrolled at Florida College must apply to the college through the usual application process (including application fees) in addition to applying to the Liberal Studies Program.
  4. Some students who fall short of the admissions requirements may be admitted provisionally if they can submit a plan for meeting the admissions requirements concurrent with their course work in the Liberal Studies Program.
