Franceskah Alcena, from Ocala, Fla., is interested in Elementary Education and is from a large family. Her father is doing the best he can to provide for the family as a cab driver in NY. "It is very hard not seeing him on a regular basis, but we all know he is doing what he can to provide a better life for my family. Attending FC will be a great experience for me not only because I am going to be in a wonderful Christian environment, but I am also going to a school that has a good reputation of having good classes" ($4,500).

Shannon Allen, from Greer, S.C., was a student in the spring and is a music major. Her dad is self employed in the construction industry which has been hit hard with the economy. It is however, improving and "I hope this will be the last semester I will have to ask for your help. I loved being around all the Christians and having such caring friends. The biggest unexpected part was how useful and interesting the classes were. The teachers were great and really showed us how to use the information. I can't imagine going to school anywhere else" ($5,000).

Ashli Barr, from Newberry, Fla., is interested in Behavioral Science and her dad has been unemployed since Thanksgiving 2009. "I was introduced t FC by my church family almost two years ago and from that moment on I knew that was where I wanted to go. As a student at FC, I hope to not only grow spiritually, but gain the knowledge I need to move on with my major in Psychology. I know that it is my responsibility to honor your gift by being the best Christian and student that I can be" ($4,000).

Brice Baughn, from Columbus, Ind., is interested in the Liberal Arts degree and is from a family of 6 with 2 in college this fall. Since 2008 his father has had significant loss of income with 2 children in college. The older brother has now graduated, but Brice's sister will be a senior while Brice is attending his freshman year at FC. "I could go to a community college and get similar prerequisites completed, but I feel the environment and teachers at FC excel in their encouragement and ability to help them learn academically and spiritually" ($4,500).

William Bean, from Racine, Wis., is interested in Business, Art and Music and is the last of four kids to attend FC and will be one of three in college this fall. His father is a minister and his mother home schooled the kids. "FC has meant a great deal to my parents and my siblings. Now it is my turn! I have been actively recruiting friends to attend FC with me. One friend came last year and looks forward to returning and a friend from work plans to come with me this fall" ($930).

Lacy Bender, from Chiefland, Fla., is interested in English and Literature and is planning on going into nursing. She is the oldest child from a single parent family and recently was introduced to FC while working at the alumni labor camp this summer. "If you have attended FC, you know the pull that it has on anyone hoping to grow closer to our Father. And if you haven't, then I hope that you get to experience something this thrilling and something that makes you this hopeful one day" ($4,800).

Courtney Blue, from Lakeland, Fla., is majoring in Liberal Arts with plans to be a Pediatric Physical Therapist. Her father's hours have been cut at work and an automobile accident three years ago, requiring them to purchase another vehicle, has put them behind financially. "By going to FC, I know that I will graduate a changed person.I will have the armor necessary to face the people and things of this world, and I will have a stronger relationship with my creator" ($1,000).

Josie Boser, from Bellbrook, Ohio, came to FC in the spring and is interested in special education. She and her brother, Jacob, are both students at FC this year and their mom is taking online courses since having to leave her job in their recent move. "Florida College has made me a stronger Christian and I hope that will continue to happen every year I attend" ($2,100).

Dekota Bostic, from Jacksonville, Fla., is interested in Elementary Education. His mom is a single parent and funds are limited. "My cousin, Saif Alsafeer, also attends FC. He always shares with me how FC is a good school and that it provides good education as well as spiritual growth. Being a full time student and playing soccer will make it hard for me to maintain a job" ($3,200).

Nathan Bradshaw, from Vestavia Hills, Ala, is interested in Criminal Justice and is the first in his family to attend FC. His father joined the Navy rather than going to college and though he can fix or build anything, does not have the degree it takes for a high paying job. "I had just gone to the FC camp in Alabama and heard nothing but great things about FC. I think FC will be beneficial for me spiritually because I will be around other Christians with like faith" ($1,600).

Kittia Broadus, from Jackson, Tenn., is interested in design, arts and crafts and computer/technology. She and her sister, Joycelyn, will be at FC this fall. Her father lost his job several years ago and has had to work factory jobs since he has not been able to find work as a computer scientist. "There is nowhere better I would like to go as I leave home for the very first time. I know that in my years at FC I will grow as a person and more importantly, as a Christian" ($3,000).

Robert Bridgeman, from Tavares, Fla., is interested in Liberal Arts, Science, Sports and History and is preparing for a career in a medically related position. His younger brother has Aspergers Syndrome and his medical and therapy expenses have put quite a strain on the family budget. "I know that the economy has really affected a lot of people and that this may come at a particularly difficult time, but I assure you that this is not only a gift but an investment. I know that one day I will be able to help others in the same way and look forward to my success in college" ($1,500).

Lora Browne, from Decatur, Ga., is interested in Physical Therapy and sports medicine and is from a single parent home. "When I think about attending FC, I visualize young people from all over the USA coming together to earn a degree and learn more about Jesus Christ. As a Christian, we're faced with many struggles, trials, and challenges. Choosing FC I would be surrounded by Christian friends who share the same faith and will persuade me to grow stronger in Christ" ($4,000).

Chelsea Brueggemann, from Marthasville, Mo., is interested in attending FC for many reasons, but the main one is to learn more about God. Her mother stayed at home until she was in the eighth grade and then began working in the school system so she would be home during the summer months and they have not been able to save enough for college ($3,500).

Amanda Bryan, from Cypress, Texas, would like to major in music and minor in business and is the first of 5 sisters to attend FC. Her mother does not work outside the home so as to home school the girls. "After graduation from FC, my desire is to become a concert pianist and/or music teacher" ($3,000).

Whitney Bryan, from West Newton, Ind., is interested in Elementary Education/Physical Ed and Public Relations. She is looking forward to playing volleyball for FC, the school she fell in love with when she was 12 years old. Her dad has been out of work for the last 8 months and will not be able to help her financially. "I believe that FC holds a clean and pleasant environment for a Christian to obtain a higher education. I look forward to attending a school where there is offered safe and clean entertainment." ($4,500).

Jonathan Cannon, from Palmetto, Fla., is interested in Business Administration and Biblical Studies. Two years ago his mother was laid off from her job of 21 years in the newspaper business. She went back to school to become a certified paralegal, but has not been able to find a job in this profession due to lack of experience. "I wish to attend FC because it is a good environment for a young Christian like me. I could spend less money going to a state college, but I would not be in an atmosphere based on the Bible and biblical principles" ($3,200).

Spencer Cook, from Wesley Chapel, Fla., is interested in a major in music and after losing his business in the mortgage industry in 2008 his dad finally secured a stable position in February 2010. "FC offers an excellent education, but it also offers something that you would not normally receive at a traditional college or university; it gives you an education with a biblical point of view" ($3,000).

Aubrey Cripps, from Burnsville, N.C., is a Business major and will be one of three family members in college this fall. Her father is a minister and suffers from MS. This creates quite a hardship on the family with medical bills and expensive chemo treatments. "I was accepted into UNCC which was my number one college choice, however, I've realized that my first years of college need to start out with positive spiritual habits, which I possibly would not gain from a big University" ($3,200).

Steven Cunningham, from Temple Terrace, Fla., is interested in sports and having the spiritual environment that FC has to offer to start off his college career. He is planning to play both soccer and basketball at FC and is very excited to be a part of those teams. (I have gone to FC camps and have met the most awesome friends there and would love to go to college with them ($1,500).

Mallory Cybulski, from Clermont, Fla., is majoring in elementary education and hopes to be a part of the chorus and participate in the shows. Her family has had recent financial setbacks with major repairs to both of their vehicles and medical bills for Mallory. They are trying to aggressively pay on their bills to relieve themselves of some of this burden. (I know that FC will help me be the best teacher I can be as well as an asset to my family and to the community ($4,000).

Ekyoma Doilicho, from Ft. Worth, Texas, is interested in working in the health care field and moved to the United States with her family in 2005. Even though their financial standing has improved in the last two years they are still not financially established. "I don't mind that I had to take out loans to come to FC because you can't put a price on heaven, good friends that will help you get to heaven , and of course education" ($2,000).

Andrew Dow, from Huntington, Texas, is a Biblical Studies major with interests in music and baseball. He is from a family of 8 with 2 in college. His father is a preacher and due to the country's economic situation, they have had to take on more credit card debt than they would like. "As a student at FC, I hope to learn to be godly, I hope to change for the better, and I hope to be the best I can be" ($4,000).

Taylor Drayton, from St Petersburg, Fla., is majoring in Business Management and is from a single parent home with three younger siblings. "Attending FC will prepare me for a promising and stable future once I graduate with my BS Degree in Business Management. With this vehicle I will be able to help my mother and siblings as well as provide a respectful, stable lifestyle for myself" ($4,000).

Brittany Elliott, from Murrieta, Calif., wants to follow in her sister's footsteps by attending FC even though it has been hard on the family to pay off her school loans. "I want this experience more than anything because I know how great of an atmosphere it really is. I need the positive influence from peers that want to help each other become better people, while always striving to be the best we each can be" ($3,000).

Caroline Fanning, from Somers, Wis., is interested in being a special education elementary school teacher. "Being raised by a single mother in a low paying one income home, money has always been a struggle. But going to a college that will keep me on the right path, give me the individual attention and schooling that I need, and that has the Biblical foundation that they do, is very important to me and my future" ($4,000).

Charis Gray, from Tampa, Fla., is an Elementary Education major and is interested in gymnastics, reading and photography. Her brother is finishing up his last year of college and her mother's contract work is way down. "All throughout high school, I knew I wanted to attend college somewhere. Not knowing exactly where, I drove by FC and it immediately clicked that this is where I would like to start out. FC is a small Christian college that is close both to my home and where I work. In the upcoming semesters I hope to build relationships with teachers, students, and most importantly, God" ($3,200).

Kathryn Gregory, from Bessemer, Ala., is interested in marketing/advertising and is one of 2 in college at this time. Business has been extremely slow for her father's cabinet shop and her mother's working hours have been cut to 15 hours per week. "I had a sports coach once, before a competition, ask if I was more nervous or more excited as it is the same feeling in your stomach. "But it is your heart that decides to run for cover or to take advantage of the opportunity ahead." While I attend FC, I plan not only to take advantage of the opportunities ahead of me but to earnestly seek them out. Putting God first and always praying to Him for guidance, I hope I succeed in whatever path, academic or otherwise, I choose" ($3,200).

Alysia (Laney) Griffeth, from Dunwoody, Ga., is interested in education and is the first in her family to attend FC. As a new Christian, she has decided to put aside her plans to go to an in-state school where tuition would be free to attend FC where she will be able to learn and grow as a Christian. Her father is an independent contractor and work has been very slow ($3,000).

Kaylah Hennen, from Waynesburg, Penn., is majoring in Biblical Studies with a minor in English, Church History or Religious Thought. She is requesting help with Adopt because her mother lost her job in February and there are health issues in the family. "I am convinced that this major will help me to be active in teaching ladies bible studies and home schooling my children. It is my desire to someday marry a gospel preacher and to be able to help him as we endeavor to turn souls back to God" ($3,000).

Chandler Holland, from Ft. Worth, Texas, is interested in Elementary Education. Her parent's business was greatly affected by the economic downturn and they had to use all their savings to make ends meet. "It is my strong desire to attend FC. I believe this environment will provide spiritual growth in a unique, nurturing environment while furthering my formal education" ($4,000).

Monte Hudson, from Temple Terrace, Fla., is interested in accounting. His dad owns a small custom cabinetry company but has not been able to earn any income for the family for more than 7 years due to several financial setbacks and the economy. The family has been living off their savings. "I have always imagined and hoped I would one day go to FC. The Christian environment is something I think I really need to make myself a better person and the education to help me make a living" ($4,500).

Dustin Jackson, from Salem, Ind., is majoring in Elementary Education and is interested in sports, Bible, kickboxing, basketball and running. His father lost his job six years ago and is experiencing on-going health issues. The house is in foreclosure and they are struggling with expenses. "I have no interest in attending a "party school." It would be dangerous to my faith. I believe the environment at FC would help encourage me to be the best student I can be" ($4,000).

Jasmine Jacobs, from Duluth, Ga., is interested in nursing, physical therapy, art and graphic design. She is from a single parent family and has had to be responsible for her two younger siblings after school and during the summer so she has not been able to apply for a job. “After graduating, I hope to then to be able to go out in the world more equipped to handle life from the experience I obtain at FC” ($2,500).

Victoria Jerkins, from Albuquerque, N.M., is planning to get an AA degree and then go on to a radiology tech school. She is the oldest of five children and has been very active in the orchestra and choir in high school as well as being a hospital volunteer. "I applied to attend FC because I value a learning environment that puts God at the center of everything they do" ($3,000).

Jonathan Jones, from Tampa, Fla., is interested in pursuing a career in Film and TV Production. He is the third son to attend FC and due to health issues, his mother is only able to work part-time to help carry the financial load. "I am very excited about coming to FC.I have been planning on attending since I was a kid in school at Florida College Academy" ($3,200).

Josiah Jones, from Lutz, Fla., would like to own his own restaurant and is majoring in business management. Not knowing what career he was interested in, he left FC after one semester and has decided to return and finish what he started several years ago. "I have decided to come back to FC because they keep God as first priority. I want to regain the same priorities that I have lost and also gain more knowledge of God" ($4,000).

Ben Lancaster, from Glasgow, Ky., is interested in physical therapy and forestry. His dad is a preacher and they are still paying student loans so that his mother could teach special education. "Our family has always lived very conservatively so that we could work with small congregations. The dream of going to FC always seemed financially impossible, but after attending Kamp Kennessee, I was even more motivated to find a way. I promise to work hard to keep my expenses low and pay off my loans as soon as possible" ($500).

Alex Lester, from Land O'Lakes, Fla., entered FC in the spring and will be returning along with his brother, Jesse. His father works for Delta Airlines and works in Atlanta, flying back and forth each week. "I enjoy art, music and most importantly, devotion to God. I enjoyed very much going to FC. The spiritual atmosphere was very uplifting" ($900).

Trina Mathews, from Riverview, Fla., is interested in digital design. She and her sister, Naomi, are third generation FC students and will both be here in the fall. Due to her high medical expenses, her family will not be able to help as much as they would like with her expenses ($2,500).

Shari McDaniel, from Tampa, Fla., is interested in Deaf Education and has decided to go back to school after raising her four children. "For eight years, I have dreamed of learning the skills it takes to teach and mentor young children that are deaf or hearing impaired. Now that my family of four children are grown, I am ready and I am sure that FC is the place for me with their high academic standards and spiritual environment" ($4,000).

David McPeak, from Mobile, Ala., is interested in Engineering, Science, and Math. His brother, Matthew also plans to attend FC this fall and their dad is working a second job along with preaching to help support the family. "I have chosen to attend FC because this will further develop me as a child of God. My grandfather, parents, aunts and uncle attended FC and I have been impressed with the spiritual strength and foundation that can be partially attributed to their time at FC" ($4,000).

Matthew McPeak, from Mobile, Ala., is interested in Math and Chemistry and will be attending FC with his brother, David. "Part of the attraction for being a student at FC is the type of professors that work there. As opposed to the professors I have previously had, they show genuine interest in the students. They are interested not only in developing the student in the classroom but as a child of God" ($4,000).

Elizabeth Mosby, from Newnan, Ga., is majoring in Business Administration and will be on the soccer team this fall. Her parents have been divorced since she was 4 and her mom works a couple of jobs to support Elizabeth and her younger sister. "I believe being a student at FC will help me understand the concept of becoming a responsible adult. I know it's a great school and I believe it will help be become a stronger Christian" ($5,000).

Joshua Muma, from Leesburg, Fla., is interested in secondary education (math) and is the first in his family to attend FC. His dad’s hours have been cut at work, making it even more difficult to pay for college. Joshua is interested in attending a quality school that encourages his Christianity unlike others that would work to discourage a student’s faith ($2,000).

Hayley O'Neal, from Morris, Ala., loves children, writing and creative arts. She is the third child in her family to attend FC. Finding herself unprepared for college life immediately after graduating from high school, she moved to the Tampa area to earn a living and to build up savings for the costs of school. "In living close to the school, I have spent a lot of time observing the nature of the faculty and students, as well as the missions and objectives of the school. FC is a notably well represented establishment in this area and has an outstanding reputation in the community for their services" ($1,400).

Stephen Pennock, from Middlebury, Vt., is interested in theater, music, literature and history. His father is a preacher and his mother is a homemaker. Stephen has not been able to find a job to help pay for his schooling, but has applied for a variety of different scholarships and loans that added with what his parents can pay will cover 75% of the total cost. "I believe that FC will provide me with a number of special advantages that I would not be able to enjoy at most other schools both spiritually and academically" ($1,750).

Jonathan Perz II, from Moody, Ala., is interested in computers and has determined that FC is the place he needs to be after hearing what his friends have been exposed to by attending their local university. His father is a minister and his mother stays at home to educate his five younger siblings ($900).

Tyler Rice, from Pelion, S.C., is interested in psychology, music and Biblical studies, and because his father has a bipolar disorder, is living with his brother, sister-in-law and their three little girls. "I was baptized in June of 2008 and many of our members are alumni of FC. While being young in faith, I want to surround myself with other young Christians" ($3,800).

Caleb Robinson, from Kennesaw, Ga, is interested in being a music teacher. His dad was laid off in February and even though he soon found a job, it required moving from Washington to GA and had to short sale the house they had been living in. "The benefits of aid through the Adopt Program will make my hope of attending FC become a reality. I am so grateful for this opportunity and to all those that participate and contribute to this program. Whether it is me or anyone else that receives the benefits from this program I can say whole heartedly that the love and grace exemplified by those contributing will forever be remembered" ($5,000).

Andrea Ross, from Bowling Green, Ky., is interested in nursing and forensics and is the first in her family to attend FC. Her mother home schools and has struggled the last few years with several health difficulties. "Being at FC will be beneficial to me Spiritually, Academically and Socially..I feel that it will be an awesome opportunity to take science classes from teachers who believe in God and teach science in a Godly way" ($3,750).

Mia Roza, from Tampa, Fla., is interested in Business and Digital Design. She is one of 5 children and her family has always struggled to have the basics. "Attending FC is my first step in a succession of growth and will open the door to continuing my education. I hope that with every step I take, the knowledge I obtain at FC will guide me in a lifetime of success and that one day I can share with and touch others" ($4,000).

Zachary Sanders, from Rayville, Mo., is interested in Veterinary Medicine and enjoys being on the track team. His father is self employed so that his income fluctuates and his mother works part time at a bank to pay for health insurance. His sister Kaitlin will be a junior at FC this year. "I have chosen FC because of the Christian principles that everything is based around and I believe it is the kind of environment in which I can strengthen and grow spiritually" ($5,000).

Ryan Shutt, from Bowling Green, Ky., is a History major and wants to be a high school teacher. "I had made up my mind to got o Western Kentucky due to location and finances, but last summer I had the best year of camp I had ever had, and really began to look at FC. I spent three days at Falcon days and that sealed the deal for me and determined that no dollar figure could be put on the opportunity I would have at FC for spiritual growth as well as advancing my academic studies" ($200).

Brittany Siegler, from Kaukauna, Wis., is undecided in her major, but is interested in journalism, education and business. They moved to WI in 2007 because of her dad's job, which ended a year later. Her mother also lost her job in 2009 and the job opportunities in their small community are very limited. "I am excited about the lessons and the singings that will happen every day in between classes at 10:15. I love singing and look forward to coming together daily with others who enjoy the same spiritual activities" ($4,500).

Robert Speer, from Plainfield, Ill., will be in the Liberal Arts program and is interested in Paramedics, fire fighting and music. His dad preaches for a small church and has not been able to raise the amount of outside support that the family needs. "I have known about FC for as long as I can remember. My parents and many other family members are alumni and the memories they have shared with me from the times they were in school are very special to them. I want to have memories like that when I look back on my college career" ($4,000).

Haven Springer, from Franklin, Tenn, is interested in Architecture and English. "I was pretty set on attending Western Kentucky until I went on a college visit to FC to make sure I was making the right decision. I loved the small campus and the small student population. I loved how the faculty and students were like a close knit family. I also loved the emphasis placed on spiritual matters." ($4,500).

Madyson St. John, from Florence, Ala., plans to major in Biology and would like to specialize in helping kids and adults in dealing with learning disabilities. She is a triplet and that means she and her two brothers will be in college at the same time. She is also a fourth generation FC student and looking forward to playing soccer at FC. "Going away from home for the first time is really scary but I know that there will be many Christians at FC. Knowing that, I think that FC is going to be a home away from home and I look forward to the next chapter in my life" ($1,000).

Phillip Staggs, from Spring Hill, Tenn., is interested in Pre-Med/Pre-Law and will be the third generation to attend FC. His mother has a lot of health issues which adds up to a high medical debt. “Even though it will be a hardship on my family financially, I know it means a lot to my parents as well as myself that I attend FC where thy met and remember what an uplifting place it is to learn and grow” ($3,000).

Alex Staton, from White Hall, Ark., is interested in respiratory therapy, his dad is unemployed and his mom suffers from MS. They recently lost their business and home and have had to relocate. "In spite of this recent setback, our love for the Lord and our faith in God has grown stronger, and our love for each other has multiplied. Thank you and everyone else at FC for allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful organization" ($3,600).

Austin Stauffer, from Zionsville, Ind., is interested in surgical technology and will be one of two in college this fall. His mother has taken a part time job to help with the finances and health benefits. "This winter I had the chance to visit the campus during Falcon Days. I was impressed with the education that was offered and ever more impressed with the spiritual opportunities around campus" ($2,000).

Hannah Townsend, from Middleburg, Fla., is interested in atmospheric sciences, meteorology and Spanish. Her brother is in college in Ala., his dad has lost some of his support for the prison ministry work that he does, and funds from her mother's business of raising calves has declined due to the low calf market. "As a student at FC I hope to grow emotionally, physically and spiritually through my two years and become equipped with key tools to aid me in better living my life" ($2,700).

Kelley Viviano, from Seffner, Fla., is interested in Elementary Education/Deaf Education. Her mom was recently laid off from her job of 12 years due to downsizing and Kelley has had health problems that have affected them financially. "Going to a college that centers each day on Christ will be a new experience for me. I can only imagine the positive and productive effect this will have on my outlook each day. It will be refreshing to be in such a positive environment and I am looking forward to succeeding and attaining my goals" ($3,200).

Samuel Ward, from San Antonio, Texas, is the third son in his family to attend FC and will be here with his brother, Brandon. He is interested in photography, volleyball, music and sports. "While Temple Terrace isn't the most "opportunisti" of cities in the eyes of many worldly people, I am anticipating an incredible impact on my spiritual, academic and social life. Within the coming weeks, I expect to be completely engulfed in the loving and amazing environment that this school has to offer young Christians in this dark world" ($700).

Christopher Webb, from Tampa, Fla., is interested in Business Management and Physics. Christopher and his sister are living with their grandmother since their mother passed away. "Being a new Christian, I am eager to learn all that I can to help me become more like-minded with the Lord. I wish to show my grandmother that through my education, love for God, and hard persistence that any dream is possible if the right steps are taken" ($2,900).

Joshua Westenhouser, from Tampa, Fla., and is interested in Business Administration. He is from a family of 10 with 4 in college. Both of his parents are unemployed and he will be working 20 hours a week, taking a full class load and playing on the FC soccer team. "I believe that attending FC will help me grow not only as a student, but as a man" ($4,500).

Jacqueline Wheeler, from Dover, Fla., is interested in education with an emphasis on special needs teaching and also forensic science. She was adopted by a single mother when she was 10 years old and could barely read. Her mom taught her that reading would open many doors in her life and that the Bible would become a special friend to her. "I hope to attend FC because I know that I will be able to grow more spiritually, academically, and emotionally. My dream also, is to be able to give back to those in "special needs" as I have been so blessed by God and my family members in the Church" ($2,500).

Laney Whittaker, from Fairburn, Ga., is majoring in Business/Marketing and her dad is unemployed at this time. Due the economy, his family has been forced to move from their house and they are living separately with friends. "Not having a stable living situation is tough and that is why being at FC is so important to be. It isn't just a college, it is my home. FC is the place where I can lay my head and feel comfortable, and what a great place to have that feeling. The Lord has truly blessed me by enabling me to be a part of the FC family that has given me much more than just an education. FC is home for my body, mind, and spirit" ($4,000).

While she was at FC, her parents separated and her mother and sisters moved to an apartment. This has made a big change in her financial situation. Her mother is a single parent and works with her hands to make things to sell to the public. She is also taking care of twin cousins who lost their mother at age six and whose dad is battling cancer. "My main desire to attend FC for my second year is to be where Christians are and to live in an environment that is learning the right way about people who care" ($3,200).

She has been working since she was 16 and is working 2 jobs this summer to help pay for her college. "Last year honestly was the best experience of my life and it just reminded me why no other college was an option for me. The teachers are unlike any I have met; always willing to do whatever it takes to help a student" ($1,350).

Lauren Ericson, from La Porte, Texas, is working on an AA degree at FC before going on to nursing school. She lives with her mom, who has a disease similar to M.S. called C.I.D.P. and 2 brothers. As a result of this disease, her mom is not able to work and her youngest brother has epilepsy, so they have a lot of medical bills. "It is hard to explain a year at FC without sounding cliché or repeating others. But the last year of my life was probably the best one. It wasn't the best simply because I had fun and enjoyed myself, mind you I did, but because I was growing daily and I was able to see my progression" ($3,000).

He took a year off from FC to try to help his family financially and to try to develop his abilities as an evangelist and preacher. "Having preached part time I see the importance of the developing of my skills as a student of the Word. I so badly want to be ready to give a defense for the hope that is within me and I know that in order to do so, I need to grow as much as possible. FC was my immediate choice in wanting to do so" ($5,000).

As the stock market has fallen, so has her educational mutual fund and her father lost his job just as school was starting last year. "I wish to attend FC this fall so I can have as much help as possible in becoming an athletic trainer and the FC experience is one that I look forward to having again, including being part of the women's soccer team, Zeta Phi Epsilon, and of course being around future life-long friends and teachers that care" ($3,200).

His mother was recently diagnosed with a rare spinal chord tumor and requires frequent MRIs, CAT scans and blood work. His dad sold the family business to have a steady job and more reasonable hours plus his older brother is in college as well. "I spent this past year in the engineering program at the University of Kentucky ( Paducah Campus) and earned a starting position on the Basketball team but I have a strong desire to attend FC for at least one year to be around other young people who are striving to please God" ($500).

He has been fortunate to work for someone that allows him to work whenever he is at home, but His father is a minister and they are planning to move out of state this summer and that option will no longer be available to him. "I know that I would have never been able to go to Fc without the help of the people who have adopted me and helped me so very much through this program. The main reason I want to return to FC is that it gives me the opportunity to work and learn in a Christian environment while I get my basic courses out of the way before I start course work in my major" ($800).

His dad is a minister and though he is now making a good salary, the cost of insurance is high and doesn't adequately cover medical expenses. "Without FC, I would not be alive, as my parents met at FC where they were given the proper foundation to raise my siblings and me in a Godly home. This is the reason I have wanted to attend this school my entire life. I want to get the proper foundation, so that I may one day raise my own family in a Godly home. I really appreciate that there is a program offered by FC to students like myself who are not able to cover the entire cost of going to FC on their own. It is my goal to be able to "pay this forward" someday, when I have finished my education and when I am on my own" ($1,300).

Over the past three years she has worked part time along with high school and taking college credits and has saved just over $13,000 but still needs help to pay for college. "Being able to go to a college surrounded by many Christian classmates and professors will be such a blessing. To be on campus and in the dorms without people drinking or smoking is one thing I admire so much about the FC atmosphere" ($4,050).

"Before FC Camp this year, I had no plans of going to FC because I knew it was an expensive two year school and I could stay home to save a lot of money, but before the week was up, I knew that FC was where I needed to be. My dad was very happy when he heard that I was considering attending his alma mater and my grandmother cried and said that it was an answer to her prayers" ($5,000).

I will be a math lab tutor this semester and I cannot wait to share my knowledge with my peers that need my help. After becoming a Christian a little over a year ago, and spending time with Christians, his family put him out of the house and he had no where to go but to the family that had begun taking him to church. "I am a financially independent student because of what had occurred with my parents. I still love them and I understand why they kicked me out. I look at the whole situation as a process that God had intended for me. As a result, I matured, grew and have realized what it means to serve and strive to be the best servant that I can be for our God" ($3,300).

I came to FC originally to play soccer, however I have been welcomed not only by my teammates but faculty and staff welcomed me with open arms. He and his family took out loans to pay for his first year at FC but because his mother has recently gone back to school and incurred substantial school loans herself, they need some additional help for Ross to return. “I have experienced some of the benefits that FC can give to its students and I wish to continue to grow from this great school” ($2,700).

Her family recently moved from Tennessee to Georgia and she will no longer be eligible for the Tennessee Hope scholarship that she received last year along with a scholarship to play soft ball for Jackson State. She is one of three in her family that will be in college this fall and the financial burden on her family will be great. But since both of her parents are FC alumni, they see great benefit in her decision to come to FC. "I know FC is the place for me to be this fall and I cannot wait to see what this school year will bring! I cannot wait to have an encouraging atmosphere full of people trying to do the same thing I am; get to heaven" ($900).

"Last year was my first year at FC, and it was one of the beast years of my life. I loved being surrounded by hundreds of Christians every day. Besides getting a degree, FC is a wonderful tool for spiritual growth. God is mentioned not only in Bible classes, but in art, math and all kids of subjects taught here" ($2,400).

The Bible professors are great teachers that teach not for the sake of a degree, but for the student to understand God's holy message. I strongly believe I need to soak myself in the knowledge of such good instructors so I can prepare to bring light where there is none" ($5,000).

He is the only Christian in his family and his parents do not understand his desire to come all the way to Florida to finish his education. "I am very thankful that there are kind-hearted people that are willing to give their hard-earned money to help someone like me to realize their goals. He is the oldest of four kids and the family had to relocate last year causing his mom to have to quit her job. So she is pursuing a degree online. "I wish to return to FC to finish up my schooling and obtain my Elementary Education degree where the class sizes are smaller, the teachers hold the same religious beliefs that I do and I will have more individual academic help" ($4,000).

Geoffrey Knudtson, from Athens, Ala., is in the Business program and his family is living on Social Security due to the fact that his dad was diagnosed 7 years ago with terminal brain cancer and his mom must stay home to care for him. "I took 27 credit hours in high school so I will be able to graduate in 3 years with a business degree and I am hopeful to continue after FC to get a Masters in some type of business. I have grown very close to Mr. Longstreth, one of the Bible professors. I go to him for advice about everything" ($3,700).

His parents are first generation immigrants from Jamaica and his dad never finished high school so money has always been short. Dean is the eldest of 4 and two will be enrolled in college this fall. His parents have done their best to make sure the kids had a good education and being in the dual enrollment program Dean was able to come away with a fully paid two years of college so that when he graduated from high school, he was just a few credits shy of his AA degree. "It was here at FC that I truly began my education though in my eyes. I learned more than I can say" ($5,000).

She plans to pursue a Master's degree in vocal performance/conducting, and a phd in choral interpretation with the goal of one day being over a choral program at a university. After seeing his older siblings come to FC he said, “What attracted me most about FC was the fact that no other college can offer what FC offers by being a place where I can develop my spirit with daily Bible classes and learn from other Christians who are also devoted to serving Christ.”

As an international student, she does not have access to student loans and is from a country that is the 3rd poorest nation in the world. “Everything that I experience in the last three years has made a huge impact for the next chapter of my life. One thing that never worries me anymore is if I would become a good mother or a better wife because I learned from the best. I’ve met so many women that are now my role models.”
