Coach Jean Crispell

Jean Crispell became the coach/sponsor of the Florida College cheerleading squad in the fall semester of 2005. She grew up in Tallahassee, where she actively participated in a number of sports. She received a dental hygiene degree from Tallahassee Community College. She is married to FC history professor, Dr. Brian Crispell, and they have three children.

Though she was never a cheerleader herself, Mrs. Crispell certainly knows the value of teamwork, commitment, and leadership in the arena of athletics. She is a champion for FC cheerleading. Besides ensuring that outfits are both modest and fashionable, Mrs. Crispell has successfully advocated the use of stunting – the skill of building that requires a great deal of athleticism and coordination.

In her own words, Mrs. Crispell is just trying “to put cheerleading on the map” – determined to see her girls recognized for all of their dedication, hard work, and talent.
