Florida Christian, Brevard prove easy foes for volleyball team

The women’s volleyball team had a 3-0 win against Florida Christian College (6-9) on Monday evening. They dominated the first two sets, winning 25-11, 25-16. In the third, FCC led 13-9 before the Falcons came back 14-14, taking off to win 25-18. Junior Courtney Miles played a strong offensive game with twelve kills, leading the team.

The next evening, Brevard Community College came to Conn Gymnasium. In the first game, FC easily won 25-11. In game two, BCC began 4-0 and FC battled closer, but Brevard took a 13-8 lead. The Lady Falcons came back 16-15 and their momentum took them to the 25-16 victory. They won the final match as well, 25-14. Team performance for these two games was evenly spread out between players. Freshman Maura Ferrell played well for the Falcons from the serving position.

The women will be playing again at home on Tuesday at 7:00 PM against St. Johns River Community College (3-17)
