Academics FAQ

What academic programs does Florida College offer?

Florida College offers six degree programs. Students can complete an accredited Associate of Arts degree in two years that will allow them to transfer and complete their education at any other accredited university. Florida College offers comprehensive bachelor’s degrees in Music, Elementary Education, Liberal Studies, Business Administration, and Biblical Studies.

What is the classroom environment like?

The student-faculty ratio is 15-to-1, allowing professors to give your personal education special importance. Classes are taught by qualified faculty members rather than teaching assistants. Small classes allow you to get to know your fellow students well, and you can speak up and ask questions more comfortably being among friends. We also offer tutorial lab services in several subjects for students who need extra help, and the wonderful, student-led Supplemental Instruction program that provides you with additional help and general study skills.

How accessible are the faculty?

Our faculty is one of our biggest selling points. Our professors are qualified and serious about teaching. They are also friendly and approachable, and care deeply about your success in life; they want to see you grow spiritually as well as academically.

What can I do with a degree from Florida College?

Whatever you choose! Each of our degree programs are designed to allow students to move directly into their field of interest, continue their education, or pursue certification to teach. We produce top quality business professionals, educators, musicians, scholars, and preachers through our bachelor’s degree programs. Our alumni excel in graduate programs, law schools, and medical schools because of the foundational education they received at FC.
