Florida College recognized Dean Jason Longstreth ’94 for his doctoral achievement at the conclusion of yesterday’s daily assembly. At the presentation, Dean of Academics Dr. Crispell introduced Dr. Longstreth, presenting him with academic regalia worn during annual opening ceremonies and commencement exercises.

Jason began preaching with the church in Dover, Fla. (’93-’98). Before returning to Florida, he worked with the Eastland congregation in Louisville, Ky. (’98-’00) and the Eastside church in Bowling Green, Ky. (’00-’08).

Dr. Longstreth is a graduate of Florida College (‘94), Johnson Bible College (M.A., ‘09) and Amridge University (M.Div., ‘12). He completed his doctorate at Amridge (D.Min.) on August 8 of this year.

His courses in beginning Greek, wisdom literature, Old and New Testament history and geography, evidences and Thessalonians have been among the most favored offerings at the College. Moreover, his genuine love for his alma mater and her students is evident to all who know him.
