Suzanne Roberts Granted Tenure

May 1, 2014

Suzanne Roberts was granted tenure last week at the conclusion of the College’s daily devotion.

Mrs. Roberts received her Associate in Arts degree from Florida College in 1985, graduating magna cum laude. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at the University of South Florida in 1990, where she received the Outstanding Achievement Award.

In 2007 Suzanne received her Master of Arts in reading Education at USF. She is currently enrolled in the University’s Ph.D. in Elementary Education with a focus in teacher preparation and educational technology.

Before joining the Florida College faculty, Mrs. Roberts taught elementary school in Hillsborough County from 1990 to 2008. Since 2008 she has been a faculty member in the elementary education department while also serving on the College’s Life Enrichment Committee, the Special Needs Students Committee and as sponsor for the APPLE club.

She has also played a crucial role in helping to maintain the education department’s Florida certification, by being continually aware of changing standards and reporting to the State. For these efforts she was awarded the Dean’s Special Service Award for 2012-2013.

We congratulate Mrs. Suzanne Roberts for her achievement of tenure, and thanks her for her continual service and commitment to Florida College.
