Jason Longstreth Appointed Dean of Students

IMG_2142.longstrethFlorida College is pleased to announce that Jason Longstreth has been appointed as the next dean of student services, effective June 1, 2014.

Mr. Longstreth is a graduate of Florida College (‘94), Johnson Bible College (M.A., ‘09) and Amridge University (M.Div., ‘12). He is on track to complete his doctorate at Amridge in the summer of 2014.

Jason began preaching with the church in Dover, Fla. (’93-’98). Before returning to Florida, worked with the Eastland congregation in Louisville, Ky. (’98-’00) and the Eastside church in Bowling Green, Ky. (’00-’08).

Since joining the Florida College faculty as a full-time professor in Biblical studies in 2008, Jason has distinguished himself as an outstanding teacher who has developed a strong rapport with his students. He has served the college and its students in numerous capacities, including the Special Needs Students Committee, the Rules, Welfare & Discipline Committee and as sponsor for Psi Beta Gamma and the sophomore class.

Jason and his wife Stephanie, along with their children Hannah, Kira, Jonathan, Alexander and Olivia, presently worship with the Forest Hills church, where Jason preaches.
