Liggin, Maness Named Mr. and Miss Royal Palm

Florida College is proud to announce Caleb Liggin and Virginia Maness as this 2012-2013’s Mr. and Miss Royal Palm.


The graduating recipients of this award are selected by College administration, faculty and staff, and are who have demonstrated personal growth, leadership qualities and thorough involvement in student life.

Caleb Liggin is a senior in the Communication program and has served as Sophomore Class Secretary, Psi Beta Gamma President, two years as Junior/Senior Class President, Academic Ambassador for Communication, SI Leader for Liberal Arts Math, Yearbook Design Editor and as an Alpha Club member. He has also been cast in seven of the College’s dramatic productions. Caleb has accomplished this extensive list of achievements while maintaining a sterling GPA (Alpha Chi honors society member) and an attitude of selfless service.

Virginia Maness is a senior in the Music program. She has served as secretary for the Student Body Government Association, props manager for the College’s production of My Fair Lady, accompanist for the Madrigal Dinner, Vice President of the National Association for Music Educators and numerous other piano performance accolades. Everyone, both within and outside the Music program, respected Virginia for her immense talent, caring heart and humility.

We congratulate this year’s Mr. and Miss Royal Palm on their four years as outstanding student leaders at Florida College.
