Hammontree, Kercheville Named Academic All-Americans

April 24, 2013

Each year the All-Florida Academic Team recognizes outstanding students from across the state of Florida for their academic achievement, leadership and service to their community. After the College’s daily assembly, Dr. Dan Petty recognized William Hammontree and Austin Kercheville as selections to the 2013 All-Florida Academic First Team.

The sophomores were nominated to the All-USA Academic Team competition sponsored by USA Today and the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society.

This year’s team is comprised of 125 students from colleges across the state of Florida. PTK has distinguished 30 of those students by selecting them to the First Team based on rating in competition with students throughout the state.

Congratulations to William Hammontree and Austin Kercheville for their achievements of academic excellence.
