Lady Falcons Receive Multiple Honors at National Tournament

On November 4, Florida College’s Lady Falcons placed 2nd in the USCAA National Tournament where they showcased three tournament stand-outs. The USCAA honored senior Kerri Taylor of Colorado Springs, Colo., sophomore Devyn Jackson of Costa Mesa, Calif. and senior Jenny Moorer of Temple Terrace, Fla. as First-Team All-Americans for their outstanding play in the regular season. Florida College was the only school to produce three recipients of this distinction.

Kerri Taylor and Devyn Jackson also received All-Tournament status. Taylor, accepting the award for her fourth year, excelled offensively, leading the tournament in kills per set (4.58) and overall kills for the season (604). Jackson, accepting the award for her second year, ranked third in the category, tallying 369 kills for the season. She also ranked third in digs for the season, tallying 483. Setter Jenny Moorer consistently facilitated the duo hitters’ offense, ranking second in the tournament in assists per set (8.98).

Kerri Taylor and Jenny Moorer also received recognition for their commitment to academics as student athletes, and received their third consecutive National All-Academic awards.
