Florida College Remembers Verl Fielding

On June 7, 2011, Florida College lost a friend and servant. Verl Fielding passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 in his Palmetto, Fla. home. He was 91.

Verl was a man of faith, both to the Lord, and his wife Evelyn to whom he was married 68 years. After serving in the Air Force during World War II, he became a successful businessman. Using this experience, he served on the Florida College Board of Directors for 45 years. Because of his overwhelming service and dedication to Florida College, Verl and Evelyn were presented the “Friend to Youth” award in 2000.

Verl Fielding left a legacy through his lifetime of devotion and service. He will forever be remembered for his deep commitment to the College and her students. We will miss his presence.
